FAVOURITE GENRE: Poetry

FAVOURITE BOOK/WHY? Poems to Last a Lifetime edited by Daisy Goodwin This book does exactly what it promises in the title – or has done so far, anyway! It always delivers just the right words at just the right time: encouragement, consolation, humour, celebration – all human life is in its pages.

WHICH LITFEST EVENT MOST APPEALS? Can I cheat and have two?? Really excited that the Emergency Poet is coming to town to prescribe poems from her ambulance and also intrigued to meet Post Mortem author, Kate London. Originally from Ludlow, Kate’s career as a detective constable in the Met’s CID has given her an insider’s viewpoint on the unique pressures faced by today’s police force. Can’t wait to hear more!

WHICH AUTHOR WOULD YOU MOST LOVE TO SEE AT OSWESTRY LITFEST? Emma Kennedy, because I think she’d have many a tale to tell! I also loved her new book ‘Shoes for Anthony.’
