About
The Oswestry Festival of the Word aka OsLitFest is a fabulous celebration of the written, spoken and sung.
Starting in 2010, the festival was the idea of local business and events promoter, John Waine, inspired by reading a short book, Wilfred Owen: Poet and Soldier by Helen McPhail.
Since then, the festival has grown tremendously fired by an energetic and creative organising team including Carrie Morris (Booka Bookshop), Heather Rodenhurst and Teresa Ecclestone (Oswestry Library) and Pam Parish (Shropshire Council). This year, we are really pleased to include Sian Munford (Oswestry School) to our OsLitFest team.
As the festival has grown, we are absolutely thrilled to welcome boutique PR & Corporate Comms firm, The Jools Payne Partnership, for 2012 to strengthen our ability to get the word out to as many as possible.
The festival has an exciting media launch on 11th January which will release information about the full programme and some of the cracking line-up in store.
